November Newsletter

Hello Eastside Families!

Dear Eastside Families,
Every Day Counts!
We have exciting goals for our students, and we need our families' help to reach them! Our schoolwide goals are for 75% of students to maintain regular attendance, 80% to meet or exceed their DIBELS Reading Composite benchmark, and 87% to meet or exceed grade-level expectations in Savvas Math.
How can families help? Get your child to school every day and on time whenever they are healthy enough to attend. A regular attender is defined by missing fewer than 18 days, excused or unexcused. Students cannot benefit from great instruction when they are not here. Every school day provides important opportunities to strengthen reading and math skills, build relationships, and grow as learners.
When students are here, they can learn. When we work together, our students can achieve great things!
Go Panthers!
With gratitude,
Mrs. Amelia Edd
Principal, Eastside School

Physical Education with Coach T

This month, our students are kicking off some fun in PE! Through games like Soccer Red Light, Green Light, and kickball activities, students will practice dribbling, passing, kicking, and controlling a ball with their feet. These activities help children develop coordination, balance, body control, and awareness of the space around them. We are encouraging students to focus on control instead of power as they build their confidence and skills.
