Principal's Message

Dear Eastside Families,

We are delighted to share some exciting news about our school’s learning progress. Our Middle of the Year (MOY) data for reading and math shows encouraging growth across all grade levels.
In reading, we are proud to report that:
·62% of our Kindergarten students are at or above grade level.
·40% of our First-Grade students are at or above grade level.
·50% of our Second-Grade students are at or above grade level.
We are committed to continuing our instructional efforts to reach our school-wide goal of 80% proficiency by the end of the school year.
In math, we are experiencing significant gains in our first year of implementing the Savvas Math curriculum. Our current math scores are:
·56% of our Kindergartners are meeting standards (up from 44%).
·49% of our First Graders are meeting standards (up from 10%).
·43% of our Second Graders are meeting standards (up from 24%).
We are incredibly proud of our students’ hard work and dedication to their learning. Their progress is a testament to their effort, our teachers' commitment, and the support from families like you.
