Dear Coos Bay Schools Families and Community,
The latest numbers are posted and our county continues to trend in the right direction. The latest two-week totals have Coos County at 90 cases per 100,000. That is down from 113 a week ago. This is great news for our community. We also did not have any new cases impacting our schools last week. We are still working with Coos Health and Wellness on a few previous cases that resulted in quarantines of classroom and bus cohorts. The impact of those cases seems to be coming to an end.
I want to thank our community for all they are doing to keep the case numbers down. I also want to encourage everyone to keep up that good work and continue to follow the public safety protocols of wearing a mask when required, hand washing, and social distancing when required. These things are helping our numbers come down and stay down. This is good news for our business community and our schools.
Have a great week!
